Amy Wells Unlimited Possibilities Fund

The Amy Wells Unlimited Possibilities Fund has raised several hundred thousand dollars toward educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities for St. Mary’s Kids. The name “Unlimited Possibilities” honors the memory of Amy Wells who, in her 29 years of living with a serious medical condition, taught those around her that all things are possible despite overwhelming odds. In addition, the Amy Wells “Unlimited Possibilities” Fund has distributed commemorative copies of Dr. Seuss’ inspirational book Oh, the Places You’ll Go! to children throughout New York. The daughter of Stephen Wells, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of St. Mary’s Foundation for Children, Amy completed a master’s degree in child psychology and law school, took the bar exam, worked as a law clerk, and was posthumously admitted to the bar. Wells states, “Amy dedicated her life and career to helping other special needs children and their families. She would be pleased to know her fund was going to help spark each child’s creativity and passion for knowledge.” This year the Amy Wells Fund will enable children at St. Mary’s to participate in music and art therapy, field trips, and Hippotherapy, utilizing the movement of a horse as treatment.
