St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children is the largest provider of post-acute,
complex medical care and rehabilitation for children with serious or life-threatening
conditions in New York State.
Through an integrated network of inpatient, community programs, and home care
services, St. Mary's promotes a family-centered approach to care. Multidisciplinary
teams, specially trained in pediatrics, create individualized treatment plans
for each child in a culturally sensitive environment with bilingual support.
The award-winning programs and services at St. Mary's focus on positive emotional,
cognitive, environmental, and social outcomes that emphasize individual abilities
and enhance potential for growth and healing.
Founded in 1870 in New York City, St. Mary's has evolved into a national leader

St. Mary's provides post-acute medical and rehabilitative care at two inpatient
facilities:
St. Mary's Hospital
for Children in Bayside, Queens, with 97 beds
St. Mary's Rehabilitation
Center for Children in Ossining with 44 beds
Daily, St. Mary's provides care to more than 3,000 children in all five boroughs
of New York City and Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, and Rockland counties.

St. Mary's home-based services are provided through multiple programs including
long-term home healthcare, early intervention, case management, and our own licensed
home care services agency, certified home healthcare agency, Care at Home, and
Institute for Child Development.

The Programs and Services We Offer
Each child and family at St. Mary's receives comprehensive case management, provided
by specially trained pediatric clinicians, nurses, therapists, and social workers,
to coordinate all aspects of their care and to ensure optimal outcomes. The programs
