NYPD Celebrates Halloween At Bayside Children's Hospital
Long-term pediatric patients got treated to motorcycles, horses and an NYPD K-9 unit for Halloween.
BAYSIDE, NY – The NYPD brought motorcycles, mounted units and the K-9 patrol to help the kids at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in Bayside celebrate Halloween.
The pediatric patients in long-term care at St. Mary’s had a blast on Tuesday with the officers and teen volunteers from the NYPD’s Explorers program.
Many of the kids got to sit on NYPD motorcycles, play with dogs from the K-9 unit and pet the horses from the mounted units. Patients were also treated to a special flyover salute from the NYPD.
