The New York City Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities and St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children welcome you to an informative presentation about housing opportunities and resources available for the disability community. This workshop is for families who have a child with medical complexity and/or healthcare providers who are working with families who in addition to managing the day to day challenges of their child’s medical needs also have barriers to safe and accessible housing.

Topics Include:

  • Vouchers/Subsidies
  • Affordable/Low Income Housing
  • Requesting Reasonable Accommodations
  • Eviction Services
  • Tenant/Landlord Conflicts
  • The Complaints Process
  • Housing Discrimination

Speakers from various city agencies will present about vouchers, low-income housing, affordable housing, housing complaints, eviction services, requesting accommodations and how to fight against discrimination.
