Child Health Plus provides free or low-cost health insurance to children under the age of 19 who do not qualify for Medicaid and do not have other health insurance coverage. All children under 19 years of age are potentially eligible Child Health Plus regardless of income or immigration status. They must also reside in New York State, meet certain income eligibility requirements tied to household size.
