Domestic Violence Services

Domestic violence may involve physical, psychological, sexual, financial or emotional abuse and can affect anyone. If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, help is available. Contact the New York State Domestic and Sexual Violence Hotline for confidential support, 24/7 at 800-942-6906, text 844-997-2121, or chat at opdv.ny.gov. The Hotline can connect you with a program near you for help with advocacy, housing, counseling, and legal assistance. The state Office of Victim Services assists individuals with expenses resulting from being the victim of domestic violence such as, medical and counseling expenses, moving expenses, and lost wages, in addition to other forms of assistance.
