SNAP benefits can help you put healthy food on the table. SNAP monthly benefits can be used to purchase food at authorized retail food stores. This food stamp Program is for qualified low income families. Benefits are provided through an electronic benefit card, similar to a debit or credit card. Eligibility for food stamps is based on household size, income, expenses and other factors. You can apply for SNAP benefits online at www.myBenefits.ny.gov or in person by visiting your local department of social services or in New York City at a SNAP Center.
