We are delighted to share that our Big Hearts Walk for St. Mary’s Kids not only met but exceeded our fundraising goal of $125,000 for St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children. This remarkable achievement will go a long way in supporting the vital programs and services that St. Mary’s provides to their children and their families.
The Big Hearts Walk for St. Mary’s Kids serves as a platform to raise funds and an opportunity to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to our cause. This year, we recognized Mark Boccia, owner of Bourbon Street in Bayside, and Christine Duffy, project manager of strategic initiatives at St. Mary’s, for their exceptional service and dedication to St. Mary’s. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for their invaluable support.
We were privileged to have some of St. Mary’s patients serve as Grand Marshals for the walk. Their presence and participation symbolize the resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit of the children and families at St. Mary’s daily. Their inspiring presence motivated and reminded us of our mission’s importance of improving the health and quality of life for children, young adults, and families with medical complexity and special healthcare needs.
