Stella and her team take the mission of St. Mary’s to heart. On a daily basis, Stella and her feeding team work tirelessly to help patients and their families attain admission goals. “For most families in the feeding program, St. Mary’s means creating new milestones with their child,” says Stella Yusupova, speech language pathologist and supervisor at The Cindy and Tod Johnson Center for Pediatric Feeding Disorders at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children.
“In our program children receive evidence-based treatment and the best quality of care” adds Stella. In her role at St. Mary’s Center for Pediatric Feeding Disorders, Stella is responsible for managing the department, which includes overseeing the day patients, out patients, clinic evaluations and coordinating swallow studies. She also plays an important role in guiding and supporting families through the entire process.
Stella has had many memorable and rewarding experiences since starting her career at St. Mary’s in 2012. “Working at St. Mary’s has been very rewarding throughout all these years, seeing the progress that the children make within such a short amount of time is priceless!” Stella enjoys hearing from families long after they graduate from the program stating that they are forever thankful as their child now enjoys food and how much they enjoy meals together as a family.
