Sean R. Lally is the President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, New York City’s only provider of pediatric long-term and rehabilitative care. With a mission to improve the health and quality of life for children with special healthcare needs and their families, St. Mary’s delivers a continuum of care through its hospital facility in Bayside, Queens, as well as home care and community programs that serve thousands of medically complex children each year.

While overseeing the day-to-day operations of one of the most specialized pediatric healthcare systems in the region, Lally sets the strategic vision for the organization, drives innovation across clinical and community-based programs, and ensures financial sustainability and operational excellence. Under his leadership, St. Mary’s has launched groundbreaking initiatives such as telehealth and remote patient monitoring, expanded partnerships, and strengthened its role as a vital safety net for vulnerable children and families.

A dynamic and mission-driven leader, Lally was recently named one of City & State’s “Top 100 Healthcare Professionals in New York” in recognition of his impact and leadership in pediatric healthcare. Before joining St. Mary’s, Lally held senior roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the American Museum of Natural History, and the New-York Historical Society. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, holds a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, completed his undergraduate studies at St. John’s College in Annapolis, and is a graduate of Regis High School in New York City.
