Angels on the Bay Makes a Significant Donation to St. Mary’s Respiratory Program

Bayside, NY – On behalf of Angels on the Bay, George Russo (second from right) presented a check for $70,000 to St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children on October 10, 2006 at their annual benefit ball at Russo’s on the Bay. This gift is part of a generous $150,000 pledge in support of the Masimo Respiratory Monitoring System. This technology allows St. Mary’s to monitor a child’s pulse and blood oxygen levels at all times in any location within the hospital and eliminate extraneous noise and undue stress in the process. (l-r) Rose Madden Baer, Vice President of Community Programs; Molly Honigsfeld, Director of Individual Giving; and Peggy Donohue, Vice President of Community Programs, accepted the check.

About Angels on the Bay

Angels on the Bay, Inc. is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for chronically ill, developmentally disabled, and physically challenged children. Founded in 1994 by Frank Russo, Jr. and his friends and family, the group describes themselves as the “guardians of dreams for all children in need of a miracle.” The death of a colleague’s daughter from cancer inspired the group to support medical organizations treating children with life-threatening illnesses.
