Bayside’s Uno Chicago Grill Holds Pizza Eating Contest & Fundraiser for St. Mary’s Kids

New York City Council Member, Dan Halloran Joins Pizza Throw down to Support St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children

Pizza lovers and St. Mary’s supporters came out to support Uno Chicago Grill’s first ever pizza eating contest in Bayside, Queens where 20% of the proceeds were donated to it’s neighboring St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, one of the region’s premier providers of post-acute pediatric care for children and families with special needs.

Members of the community including NYC Council Member Dan Halloran joined the mouthfuls of fun and drinks at the eatery and even had a chance to try out the signature drink called “St. Mary’s Merry Berry Cocktail,” all to support a great cause.

10 contestants ate their hearts out, but only three bellies came out on top!  The top three winners were awarded prizes and lots of praise for packing in the pizzas.

“It was a great day and we had a lot of support from the community. St. Mary’s Hospital for Children is our neighbor and we wanted to do something to give back to such a great charity,” said Kelly Vavakas, Queens Regional Marketing Coordinator.
