Davis Vision, one of the nation’s premier managed vision care companies, provided free eye exams for the kids of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children.
As part of a community outreach program dedicated to spreading awareness about the importance of eye care, and committed to providing services to residents in underserved communities, the group will also provide free follow-up exams, and glasses for those patients who may need it.
Patient families were very grateful for the free exams as many of them may not have the opportunity to receive these services.
Some of the kids were excited to use the machines, and others were a little hesitant.
It was like being in a real doctor’s office, but the children got more than a lollipop at the end of their visit.
As St. Mary’s kids finished their exams, they were given sunglasses, coloring books and crayons, all which they eagerly accepted.
