East Coast Cars Association, Inc. Hosts Annual “Toys for Tots Car Run” For St. Mary’s Kids Delivering Holiday Gifts

Group Raises Over $15,000 for Children with Special Needs

Classic car and motorcycle lovers joined in a police escorted parade to deliver bundles of joy and excitement to some very eager children at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, one of the region’s largest providers of intensive rehabilitation, specialized medical care and education for children with special needs.

Members of East Coast Car Association, Inc. hosted its annual “Toys for Tots Car Run,” bringing an early holiday surprise to St. Mary’s Kids. Over 140 classic and custom cars and motorcycles revved their engines and honked their horns to signal their entrance to the hospital where children of all ages were excitedly waiting. The Members arrived with carloads of toys and holiday gifts, enough to go around for all of St. Mary’s Kids.

These car lovers may have a deep passion for hoods and engines, but have an even greater passion for St. Mary’s kids.  The annual Toys for Tots Car Run, sponsored and founded by East Coast Cars, was created in 1999 to deliver the joys of the holiday to children of St. Mary’s battling complex medical and life-limiting conditions.

To date, the East Coast Car Association, Inc. has raised over $15,000 to help improve the quality of life for children with special needs, through in-kind donations, car shows, cruise nights and the annual Toys for Tots run, and continues to support St. Mary’s.
