East Coast Cars Holds “Toys for Tots Car Run” For Kids of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children

Car Lovers Bring Early Holiday to Children with Special Needs

These classic car lovers may have a deep passion for hoods and engines, but they have a greater passion for the children of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, the region’s largest provider of intensive rehabilitation, specialized care and education for children with special needs.

On Sunday, November 16th, the members of East Coast Car Association rolled into St. Mary’s Hospital for Children with carloads of toys and holiday surprises for the children of the Bayside hospital at its annual Toys for Tots Car Run.

Classic and custom car and motorcycle enthusiasts joined in a police escorted parade to deliver bundles of joy and excitement to some very eager children.

The annual Toys for Tots Car Run, sponsored and founded by East Coast Cars, was created in 1999 to bring an early holiday to the children of St. Mary’s, some of New York’s most seriously ill and injured children battling complex medical and life-limiting conditions. Over the last decade, East Coast Cars has generously supported the vital programs and services at St. Mary’s raising more than $40,000 for the organization through car shows, cruise nights and the annual Toys for Tots run.
