Financier Patisserie Employees Host Birthday Party for St. Mary’s Kids Complete with Cake, Desserts and Dancing

Pastry Shop Dedicated to Raising Funds & Awareness for Children with Special Needs

Mouth watering 2- layered chocolate mousse cake, softly baked frosted cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries was the menu at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children during a birthday party hosted by one of New York’s finest and tastiest pastry shops, financier patisserie.

The traditional shop has teamed up with St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children to help raise funds and awareness to support children and families with special needs at St. Mary’s. The first in a series of their efforts was a birthday celebration for St. Mary’s Kids where patients of all ages danced, ate and laughed with Financier’s employees, including the renowned executive Pastry Chef, Eric Bedoucha who prepared all the yummy desserts and birthday cake. The birthday girls and boys got to blow out their candles and make a special wish.

Opened in 2002 by restaurateur Peter Poulakakos of Harry’s Café & Harry’s Steak and Chef Eric Bedoucha, Financier Patisserie is a charming pastry shop specializing in traditional and signature French Pastries. Its name not only refers to the district in which its flagship store is located but also to a unique French pastry of the same name. The financier is a rich almond cake that is traditionally baked in the shape of a gold bar.
