Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens Urges the Borough to Join Them in Supporting St. Mary’s Walk

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens (HCCQ) has teamed up with St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children for its 8th Annual Walk for St. Mary’s Kids at Fort Totten Park in Bayside, NY on Sunday, May 20th to help raise funds and awareness for children and families with special needs while celebrating a huge milestone in St. Mary’s history- Its 140th Year Anniversary.

St. Mary’s began caring for New York City’s most vulnerable children in 1872 and since has become one of the premier providers of intensive rehabilitation, specialized medical care and education for over 4,000 children with complex medical and life-limiting conditions.

HCCQ is urging all of its members throughout the borough to participate in the annual walk and is helping to raise awareness about the importance of sustaining vital programs and services for children with special needs.

“It’s important for businesses throughout Queens to get involved in this worthy cause,” said Alfredo Arrieta, president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens. With the help from Latino businesses in Queens, St. Mary’s will be able to make incredible gains in providing care to children with special needs. Over 40% of St. Mary’s young patients come from New York City’s Latino community.

You can join the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens and thousands of others participants at the 8th Annual Walk for St. Mary’s Kids on Sunday, May 20th at Fort Totten Park in Bayside NY.
