Line Dancers Raise over $1300 in Support of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children

A group of line dancers from the New York area gathered to host a fundraising event in support of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, one of the region’s leading providers of post-acute pediatric care for children with special needs.

Organized by Rose Malinconico of Bayside, NY along with members of Line Dance Friends, the event attracted over 100 line dancers who came out to have a little fun on the dance floor, while helping to raise funds and awareness for some of the most seriously ill and injured children in the New York area.

Held in Floral Park on Sunday, April 19th, the event included an evening of line dancing, 2 lessons for beginners, raffles and door prizes, and raised over $1300 in support of the innovative programs and services St. Mary’s offers to over 4,000 children throughout the New York Metropolitan area.

The group is already planning a special visit to the hospital to perform their unique dance for St. Mary’s kids and promise to continue advocating for children with special needs.

A special thanks to Rose and the Line Dance Friends for their due diligence in helping to bring quality care to children and their families.
