RxArt Helps St. Mary’s Young Adults Express Themselves

St. Mary’s Young Adults experienced first hand the freedom that comes with artistic expression during an art workshop that introduced “Between the Lines,” an expansive coloring book from RxArt that features the work of 60 celebrated contemporary artist.

The books were given to St. Mary’s through the support of Diane Brown,  President & Founder of RxArt, a non-profit organization dedicated to placing original fine art in patient, procedure, and examination rooms of healthcare facilities. It’s mission is to improve otherwise sterile environments through contemporary art, promote healing, and inspire hope in patients, families and staff.

The “Between the Lines, Volume 3” coloring book was generously sponsored by Chanel Beaute and is an integral part of RxArt’s mission.  The coloring book is meant to give the children and their families something new and stimulating to think about. It is another tool to take children to an emotionally less stressful place and provides a creative outlet for children while away from home.

We are grateful for this wonderful gift to support St. Mary’s ongoing Arts for Healing program. Check out our Facebook page for photos of our Young Adult group enjoying these books during a recent art therapy session!
