Billotti Brings International Reputation in Business and Construction to St. Mary’s, Known World-wide for Innovation in Children’s Healthcare

October 28, 2008 – St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children is pleased to announce that Nicholas (Nick) Billotti, President and CEO of Turner International, LLC, will be named as the 2008 Honoree at St. Mary’s annual Tribute Dinner slated to take place on November 17, 2008 at Gotham Hall in New York City.

As the 2008 Tribute Dinner Honoree, Mr. Billotti is being recognized for his contributions in raising awareness and funds for critical programs for children with special healthcare needs. Mr. Billotti was first introduced to St. Mary’s more than 30 years ago by his sister, Connie Mintz, a registered nurse and case manager at St. Mary’s, who shared her passion for helping children with special healthcare needs. Mr. Billotti has since volunteered at the Hospital, making frequent visits and interacting with the children, and he is also a generous supporter of St. Mary’s programs and services and is an advocate for children in need.

The joining of Mr. Billotti and St. Mary’s brings together two internationally recognized leaders in their individual fields. In his role as President and CEO, Mr. Billotti is responsible for providing strategic direction for the company’s international activities, which presently includes 46 construction projects with a value of more than $39.1 billion. These assignments cover 19 countries throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and the Middle East.

St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children is an internationally recognized leader in post-acute care for children, whose pioneering programs and innovative care delivery methods have set the standard for pediatric rehabilitation and specialized care. As illness knows no boundaries, St. Mary’s cares for thousands of children from different cultures and nationalities each day at home or at its inpatient facilities.

“As a leader in his field, Nick has traveled the world, but he has never forgotten the importance of helping those – especially children – who need our collective support,” said Burton Grebin, MD, President and CEO of St. Mary’s. “We are grateful to Nick, members of the Turner organization and our friends in the building, development and real estate communities for their continued support of St. Mary’s.”

“I have had the privilege of working on major projects around the globe, but to see the work of such an innovative organization for kids right here in our own community has been a highlight of my personal and professional life” said Nick Billotti, “I am honored to support St. Mary’s endeavors.”
