“Brianni is so happy and engaged—she can always be counted on to participate in activities.”
Brianni has made strong improvements through the St. Mary’s medical day healthcare program since she joined in 2014. Suffering from difficulty walking and hearing loss, her weekly speech and occupational therapy and the physical therapy she receives three times a week have been vital to her increasing ability to move her body—and our hearts. Through these treatments, she has successfully mastered the stairs and developed her vocabulary syntax and grammar—and she’s still advancing every day!
Brianni has the kind of resilient spirit we see in so many of our little patients—the kind of spirit that fuels her dream of becoming a karate instructor when she gets older. Until then, she enjoys watching TV and playing video games, and, of course, coming to St. Mary’s. She loves all the friends she’s made here and we can confidently say, the feeling is mutual.
